The MD of Barclays Ghana and other officials of the bank at the awards<\/strong><\/p>\n

BARCLAYS BANK Ghana, part of the Absa Group, has been adjudged Bank of the Year, whiles the Managing Director,\u00a0Abena Osei-Poku, has been named Woman of Excellence of the Year \u2013 Private Sector at the 2019 Ghana Business Awards held on Friday.<\/p>\n

The awards are in
\nrecognition of the bank\u2019s financial and non-financial achievements across a
\nwide range of measures, including business
\nsustainability, operational excellence, innovation and its overall strong
\nperformance which continues to make it a leader in the banking sector.<\/p>\n

Mrs Abena Osei-Poku\u2019s
\naward was also in acknowledgment of her exemplary leadership which continues to
\ndrive high performance not only within Barclays but is also setting standards
\nin corporate Ghana.<\/p>\n

Receiving the awards,
\nMrs. Abena Osei-Poku said; \u201cWe are very excited to receive these awards. They
\ndemonstrate our track record of consistently creating shared value for our
\ncustomers, Communities and all our stakeholders, while maintaining operational
\nexcellence. These will remain our focus, as we re-brand to Absa early next
\nyear.\u201d<\/p>\n
