The 2019 edition, which marks the 25<sup>th<\/sup><br \/>\nanniversary of the fair, is dedicated to cocoa and chocolate makers across the<br \/>\nworld.<\/p>\n<p>A delegation of cocoa industry players within<br \/>\nthe Ghanaian cocoa fraternity led by industry regulator Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD)<br \/>\nis fully representing Ghana at the fair. <\/p>\n<p>COCOBOD and other institutions, including the<br \/>\nGhana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA), Ghana Investment<br \/>\nPromotion Centre (GIPC) and cocoa processors\/manufacturers, have participated<br \/>\nin the event over the years to\u00a0 exhibit<br \/>\nand explore investment opportunities within the cocoa value chain, especially<br \/>\nin the areas of processing and consumption.<\/p>\n<p>Jane Yeboah, Public Affairs Manager of COCOBOD,<br \/>\nwho led the team, said the fair presented a good opportunity for Ghana as one<br \/>\nof the leading producers and exporter of cocoa beans to market itself at such<br \/>\nan event.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a very important fair. Considering the<br \/>\nnumber of investors, chocolate makers and various cocoa producers here, it is imperative<br \/>\nto work and attract foreign investors to establish the necessary relationships<br \/>\nsince it is one of the most promising markets for chocolate worldwide,\u201d she<br \/>\nadded.<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Yeboah said that the exhibition would<br \/>\nafford \u2018chocolatiers\u2019 and exhibitors the opportunity to communicate with the<br \/>\nGhana delegation and exchange ideas which would eventually be in the best<br \/>\ninterest of Ghana\u2019s cocoa industry.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to<br \/>\nGhana Cocoa Board, the Ghana delegation for this year comprises officials from<br \/>\nthe GIPC, GEPA and a \u2018chocolatier\u2019\u2014<br \/>\nSweet Hub Confectionary.<\/p>\n<p>The 2019 exhibition is hosting over 230<br \/>\nexhibitors from more than 60 countries and has attracted buyers and<br \/>\nprofessionals from the international market with an expected 100,000 visitors.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 2019 edition of Salon Du Chocolat \u2014 the world\u2019s largest chocolate event \u2014 is ongoing in Porte De Versailles-Paris, France.\u00a0 The five-day chocolate event was opened on 30th October 2019 with glitz and glamour.
