{"id":735343,"date":"2019-10-31T18:10:05","date_gmt":"2019-10-31T18:10:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ghana-mma.com\/2019\/10\/31\/were-much-much-better-than-in-january-2017-finance-minister\/"},"modified":"2019-10-31T18:10:05","modified_gmt":"2019-10-31T18:10:05","slug":"were-much-much-better-than-in-january-2017-finance-minister","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2019\/10\/31\/were-much-much-better-than-in-january-2017-finance-minister\/","title":{"rendered":"We&#8217;re &#8220;Much Much Better&#8221; Than In January 2017 &#8211; Finance Minister"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Ken Ofori-Atta <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta\u00a0has said\u00a0claims by some Ghanaians that there is hardship under the Nana Akufo-Addo-led government are false.<\/p>\n<p>The soft-spoken\u00a0Finance Minister in an exclusive interview with<strong>\u00a0PEACE FM\u2019s<\/strong>\u00a0morning show \u2018Kokrokoo\u2019 argued that the incumbent has done immensely well to curb the hardship as compared to the Mahama-led government.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIf we look back from where we are coming from and where we are now, then I must say things are better now,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0he told host Kwami Sefa Kayi.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He added that, \u201canyone who will complain of hardship is ungrateful to God.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said the state of the economy is \u201cmuch much better\u201d than in January 2017, when President Akufo-Addo ascended the throne.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, electricity prices which has never been reviewed downwards in the history of this country was reduced under President Akuf-Addo, and such a move is to the benefit of all Ghanaians.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He emphasized that the National Health Insurance Scheme has witnessed a massive improvement and the Free Senior High School policy has greatly benefitted the entire populace, not forgetting the banking reforms which has made the economy much stronger, confident and attractive to all Ghanaians and investors.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ken Ofori-Atta Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta\u00a0has said\u00a0claims by some Ghanaians that there is hardship under the Nana Akufo-Addo-led government are false.
