EMMANUEL Atta Ofori, the District Chief Executive (DCE)
\nfor Kwahu South District in the Eastern Region, says all the government
\nflagship projects and programmes are progressing steadily in the district.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Speaking at the assembly\u2019s first meet-the-press briefing
\nat Mpraeso, he said, \u201cThe government\u2019s flagship programme of Free SHS and
\nothers are steadily on course in the district.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

He disclosed that the government\u2019s $1 million per constituency
\nwas being used to construct modern solar-powered W\/C, mechanised boreholes and
\nsome CHPS compounds in the district.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He said the assembly made inroads in education where
\nbrilliant but needy students had been awarded scholarships to the tune of
\nGH\u00a260,000 under the decentralised scholarship scheme.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He said agriculture, which has been boosted by the
\nPlanting for Food and Jobs initiative, was doing well and many farmers had
\nbenefitted from subsidised fertilizer and other farming inputs.<\/p>\n

He stated that the assembly had supported persons with disability
\nto the tune of GH\u00a2319,000 in the form of Financial & Business support in
\nthe past two and a half years.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Besides, the DCE said they were working hard to fix
\nmyriads of problems facing the district and added that the Akufo-Addo
\nadministration was committed to ensuring the prosperity of Ghana.<\/p>\n
