Frank Asiedu Bekoe<\/strong><\/p>\n

Director of Political Affairs in the
\nOffice of the Chief of Staff, Frank Asiedu Bekoe, is of the view that
\nintellectuals and levelheaded students do not join the Tertiary Education
\nInstitutions Network (TEIN) of the National Democratic Congress (NDC),
\nstressing that the students\u2019 wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is the most
\nintellectual political wing on any campus across the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I gave you my acceptance speech, I welcomed the NDC because I knew they were
\ngoing to be here. Like I said on another platform, the NPP is the most
\nintellectual wing on any campus. And if you\u2019re a levelheaded person, if you\u2019re
\nan intellectual, you don\u2019t go to school and join the NDC. This is because the
\nNDC has never won any election in any campus in this country, not even Ho
\nPolytechnic,\u201d he claimed, at the handover ceremony of the Tertiary Education
\nStudents Confederacy Network (TESCON) of the NPP, University of Professional
\nStudies (UPSA) in Accra.<\/p>\n

Mr Frank Asiedu Bekoe added that the NDC had failed over the years to
\ndemonstrate that they were intellectuals whenever they had been given the
\nmandate to govern the country. He cited the NDC\u2019s recourse to the International
\nMonetary Fund (IMF), for help in managing the economy, as an example.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey have never won in any campus before. Why? Because a party that is bereft
\nof ideas, a party when faced with a challenge, you run to the white man at the
\nIMF and go for policy credibility. You\u2019re not an intellectual. Because an
\nintellectual is someone who is able to deal with challenges that confronts him
\nor her. And the NDC has failed to show this leadership.<\/p>\n

You go to the IMF for policy credibility. It means you\u2019re brainless or you\u2019re
\nbrain dead. That you have a problem as a wife or husband and you move to
\nanother person\u2019s husband or wife to come and solve your problem for you? You\u2019re
\nnot qualified to be called a mother or father of that home,\u201d he told the
