The aftermath of the chaotic scenes at KTI<\/strong><\/p>\n

THERE WERE chaotic scenes at the Kumasi Technical Institute (KTI), which reportedly resulted in injuries and destruction to several properties on Sunday evening.<\/p>\n

A certain housemaster of the school had insisted that the students should wear the prescribed uniform of the school during prep hours and that sparked anger among the students.<\/p>\n

The angry students, according to reports, did not spare anything on sight, as they caused massive destruction to several properties on the hitherto peaceful campus.<\/p>\n

The windscreen of vehicles were smashed, air conditioners and several other properties were also destroyed by the rampaging students.<\/p>\n

At a point, the angry students allegedly turned their anger at their housemasters, as they pelted them with stones, injuring one housemaster in the process.<\/p>\n

Sensing danger, the housemasters were said to have run to save their lives.<\/p>\n

Police personnel were quickly called in to prevent further destruction in the school and their presence helped to calm nerves.<\/p>\n

According to reports, the police managed to apprehend 10 of the rampaging students, who were said to have played leading roles in the attacks.<\/p>\n

The Manhyia Divisional Police Commander, ACP Kwaku Buah, said the students targeted dormitories, housemasters\u2019 bungalows and other infrastructure in the school.<\/p>\n

According to the police officer, the housemaster who sustained head injuries was issued a medical form for treatment, adding that the police were still investigating the case.<\/p>\n
