{"id":724035,"date":"2019-10-15T20:08:24","date_gmt":"2019-10-15T20:08:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ghana-mma.com\/2019\/10\/15\/police-arrests-oforikrom-robber\/"},"modified":"2019-10-15T20:08:24","modified_gmt":"2019-10-15T20:08:24","slug":"police-arrests-oforikrom-robber","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2019\/10\/15\/police-arrests-oforikrom-robber\/","title":{"rendered":"Police Arrests Oforikrom Robber &#8211;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>A suspected armed robber, Rahuff Mohammed, who fled with gunshot wounds after a shoot-out with police in Oforikrom in Kumasi, has been arrested.<\/p>\n<p>Ashanti Regional Police Commander, COP Kwasi Mensah-Duku, said the suspect was dropped off at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) for medical attention with the help of an accomplice.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at a media briefing in Kumasi yesterday, the police chief indicated that Rahuff and his gang, on October 12, 2019, attacked and robbed a resident of Anloga who placed a call to the police for assistance.<\/p>\n<p>He stated that the gang, numbering about three with other members Baba Musa and Silencer, opened fire on the police when the law enforcement officers pulled over at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>COP Mensah-Duku said the officers also returned fire, but the suspects managed to escape with GH\u00a21,500 cash and an Iphone 7 X belonging to the victim.<\/p>\n<p>On the following day, the police commander narrated further that police received information from authorities at KATH that a man had been dropped off at the hospital with gunshot wounds.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, suspect Rahuff Mohammed was identified by the victim when officers proceeded to KATH.
