guest at ANU Unification Day (Copy)\"\/><\/div>\n<p>The Centre of Awareness (COA) and Global Peace Mission<br \/>\n(GPM), manufacturers of the famous COA FS immune booster and COA 72 injectable,<br \/>\nhave reached an agreement with the Alfred Nobel University (ANU) in Ukraine for<br \/>\nresearch into chronic diseases.<\/p>\n<p>Part of the agreement is also to promote global peace<br \/>\nthrough a multi-approach strategy that focuses on the youth in schools, and<br \/>\nheads of states of various countries.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement was reached during a visit by Founder and<br \/>\nPresident of COA\/GPM, Professor Samuel Ato Duncan to Ukraine as a special guest<br \/>\nof ANU at the Unification Day of students from Asia, Europe, America and Africa<br \/>\nearlier this month.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, Prof. Duncan was among several Ghanaian<br \/>\nachievers ANU presented with honorary professorial and honorary doctorate<br \/>\nawards for their excellent achievements. <\/p>\n<p>The awardees included President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo,<br \/>\nformer Genda Minister, Otiko Afisa Dzaba and a few others.<\/p>\n<p>Prof. Duncan\u2019s honorary award was mainly because of the<br \/>\nbreakthrough manufacture of COA FS immune booster and COA 72 injectable, which<br \/>\nare touted as potential cure for HIV, based on tests by independent medical<br \/>\nresearch institutions in Ghana and South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>Following his professorial award, Prof. Duncan has been<br \/>\nworking with ANU to move his herbal medicine research forward, and that has<br \/>\nculminated in this ground-breaking agreement for further research into COA and<br \/>\ninto other potential cure for other terminal diseases. <\/p>\n<p>Prof. Ato Duncan told Adom News from his base in Ukraine<br \/>\nthat the ultimate goal is to \u201cpromote global peace by finding solutions to<br \/>\nmany chronic diseases like HIV, hepatitis B, cancers, kidney failures and<br \/>\nothers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said the process will begin with COA FS and COA 72 with<br \/>\nthe aim of developing them into drugs that meet WHO standards as the drug of<br \/>\nchoice for the cure of HIV.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBefore a drug can be certified by WHO as a drug of choice<br \/>\nfor public use, it has to go through rigorous processes, including tests on at<br \/>\nleast five continents and so as we start from Ukraine, we will do similar tests<br \/>\nin different parts of the world to meet WHO standards,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n<p>The COA Boss noted that such rigorous research costs a lot<br \/>\nof money and so far COA on its own has spent over US$20 million researching the<br \/>\ndrug, but this it would collaborate with its partner institutions like ANU and<br \/>\nothers to raise funding to the subsequent tests.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Research in Ghana<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Prof. Duncan also hinted that back in Ghana, government has<br \/>\nalso asked the Ghana Aids Commission (GAC) to work with COA to ensure further<br \/>\ntest of the COA FS and COA 72, adding that the Noguchi Memorial Institute has<br \/>\noffered to do the clinical tests so they are working towards that.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI trust that the government and the GAC will make good<br \/>\ntheir word and ensure that the tests are done as soon as possible for the benefit<br \/>\nof the country,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Prof. Duncan noted that if the COA drugs become the drugs of<br \/>\nchoice for the cure of HIV, Ghana stands to gain billions of dollars of revenue<br \/>\nflowing from all over the world to boost the economy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>100 Scholarships<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>He also said as part of the need he has with Alfred Nobel<br \/>\nUniversity, COA would from next year sponsor at least 100 Ghanaian students to<br \/>\nthat university every year to study various courses of their choice so they can<br \/>\ncontribute to national development.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSeveral brilliant students from poor homes are benefitting<br \/>\nfrom the government\u2019s Free SHS policy but when they complete, some of them may<br \/>\nnot have money to continue to the tertiary level and that is where we come in<br \/>\nto help at least 100 next.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf things go well for us we will increase the numbers in the subsequent year and beyond.
