Hassan Zein<\/strong><\/p>\n

Businessman Hassan
\nZein has appealed passionately to the government and the security agencies to,
\nas a matter of urgency, address the recent terrorist tag levelled against him.<\/p>\n

Some media
\noutfits particularly in Mali and other parts of the continent have tagged Mr. Zein
\nas a terrorist in their recent publications, but he has stated categorically
\nthat he is a law-abiding citizen who has nothing to do with terrorism.<\/p>\n

He said the tag of
\nterrorist is too strong a word to toy with, and as a result is calling on the government
\nand security agencies to probe him if he is, indeed, a terrorist as being fabricated
\nby some foreign media outlets.<\/p>\n

He is also
\nappealing to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Regional Integration to use
\nits good offices to take the matter up by reaching out to its Malian
\ncounterparts since it has international security repercussions.<\/p>\n

Already, Mr. Zein has engaged
\nhis legal team\u2012 Crown
\nLegal Bureau\u2012 to pursue the
\nmatter for defamation and push for damages.<\/p>\n

In a release
\nsigned by Justice Abdulai (Esq), lawyer for Zein, it stated, \u201cThis is a
\nclear case of defamation of character. My client has been misrepresented and
\ndefamed to the highest order. <\/p>\n

This is a
\nresponsible businessman who had contributed immensely in the area of employment
\nin Ghana.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are
\nappealing to the good offices of the president of the land, security agencies,
\nthe Foreign Affairs Ministry in Ghana, their Malian counterparts to handle the
\nmatter with immediate effect due to the security implications.\u201d<\/p>\n

The release added,
\n\u201cMy client, who is not a religious Moslem is available for investigations
\nto ascertain the terrorist claim, it is high time we took the issue of character
\nassassination serious, otherwise, anybody can say anything to ruin a hard
\nearned reputation like that of my client.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe said
\nfabricated stories have had a telling effect on my client\u2012 emotionally, physically and business fortunes, as well as dented the
\nimage of Ghana.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are
\npursuing this matter, through the offices of African Union, ECOWAS at the
\ninternational courts, International Criminal Court (ICC) International Court of
