Ben Dika<\/strong><\/p>\n

THE ASSEMBLY
\nElection race at Homowo Electoral Area at Tema Newtown has turned into a do-or-die
\naffair following an attack on a 19-year-old boy at Abonkor, a suburb of the area.<\/p>\n

The injured
\nboy, Ben Dika, was attacked with a machete on Tuesday night after a heated
\ndebate over candidates vying to go to the assembly to represent the local
\npeople.<\/p>\n

Dika was rushed
\nto the Manhean Health Centre where is currently battling for his life after
\nbleeding profusely from his hands and head. <\/p>\n

The prime suspect,
\nwho was only identified as Kapanja, is currently at large and the police are
\nhunting for him. <\/p>\n

Information
\navailable to DAILY GUIDE<\/em><\/strong> indicates that on Tuesday evening, the victim, who is
\na staunch supporter of the incumbent Assembly Member for the Homowo Electoral
\nArea, Christian Yaw Amoah, popularly known as C.Y, allegedly destroyed posters
\nof Enoch Afutu Kotei, the main contender of the incumbent.<\/p>\n

As a result,
\nsome heavily-built men believed to be coming from the camp of the contender
\nattacked the victim and inflicted serious machete wounds on him.<\/p>\n

The
\nassailants tried to set the place ablaze but the residents raised the alarm and
\nthey escaped from the scene. Since the attack, there has been uneasy calm at the
\nelectoral area as supporters of both candidates are believed to be gearing up
\nfor a fight.<\/p>\n

The Tema
\nRegional Police Command had since cautioned the candidates to call their
\nsupporters to order. <\/p>\n
