Eric Nipah, Receiver <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n

The Receiver of
\ncollapsed financial institutions, Eric Nana Nipah, has extended the deadline
\nfor the submission of \u2018Proof of Debt forms\u2019 to Friday, September 27, 2019.<\/p>\n

The receiver says
\nthe decision to extend the deadline date is to allow customers ample time to
\nsubmit their forms so that they can be duly paid.<\/p>\n

The Bank of Ghana,
\npursuant to section 123 (1) of the Banks and Specialised Deposit-Taking
\nInstitutions Act, 2016 (Act 930), appointed the Director of Price Waterhouse Coopers
\nGhana Limited, Eric Nana Nipah, as the receiver of banks it had declared insolvent.<\/p>\n

Per the
\nappointment, the receiver has taken control of some 347 microfinance companies and
\nis expected to ensure that customers of the affected banks are paid.<\/p>\n

The Receiver the set September 12, 2019, as the deadline for customers to submit their documents for validation for payment.<\/p>\n

A statement,
\nhowever, singed and released by Mr Nipah said the deadline had been extended to
\nSeptember 27, 2019.<\/p>\n

The release said
\nthe Receiver had noted that some depositors of the 347 microfinance companies
\nwere yet to submit their \u2018Proof of Debt forms\u2019 hence the decision to extend. <\/p>\n

Mr Nipah has
\nurged customers to ensure that they meet the deadline so that they can have
