President Akufo-Addo yesterday
\nreceived the letters of credence of five envoys.<\/p>\n

They included Bril
\nVyacheslav from the Eastern European State of Belarus, Jyrki Juhani from the Northern
\nEuropean State of Finland, Amadu Taal from the Gambia, Imaani Ouaadil from
\nMorroco and Natasha Halfhuid from the Southern American State of Suriname.<\/p>\n

First on the list was
\nthe newly-assigned Morrocan Ambassador to Ghana, Imaani Ouaadil, who said she
\nwas looking forward to strengthening the economic relations that exist between
\nGhana and her country. <\/p>\n

She said she would spare
\nno effort in enhancing the bond of cooperation existing between the two
\ngovernments and raise the Ghana-Morocco bilateral relations to a new high.<\/p>\n

Ambassador Natasha
\nHalfhuid of Suriname, in her address, observed that like Ghana, Suriname has
\nhuge reserves of rainforest with an abundance of freshwater conducive for
\nfaming and eco-tourism. Suriname, she added, is also rich in gold mines,
\nbauxite with huge deposits of oil and gas.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe abundance of all these resources presents to both Ghana and Surinarme a new chapter, as it relates to trade, investment and partnerships, providing us with immediate opportunities for strengthening our economic ties,\u201d Ambassador Halfhuid said.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n

President Akufo-Addo also
\nstated that it would make economic sense for Ghana to liaise with Belarus to
\nenhance the exploitation of her natural resources by tapping into the
\ntechnological know- how of Belarus.<\/p>\n

On his part, the
\nAmbassador of the Eastern European State of Belarus, Bril Vyacheslav, indicated
\nthat Ghana is not only known as a country with huge economic potentials but is also
\nconsidered to be the hub of the West African market. <\/p>\n

To this end, Ambassador Vyacheslav
\nsaid, \u201cBelarus is highly motivated to intensify the development of trade
\nand economic relations with the Republic of Ghana.\u201d <\/p>\n

The Finnish Ambassador, Jyrki Juhani, touted the educational system in his country \u2012 which, according to him, has seen a tremendous improvement \u2012 one of the best in Europe.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n

He expressed his country\u2019s readiness to share
\nwith Ghana all the policies that have made her educational system a success.<\/p>\n

President Akufo-Addo, in
\nresponse, said government through the Education Ministry would be ready to send
\na delegation to Finland to gather first-hand information of the Finnish
\neducation system in order to apply same to improve Ghana\u2019s educational sector. <\/p>\n

The last to present his credential was the Gambian High Commissioner to Ghana, Amadu Taal, who commended President Akufo-Addo for \u201cthe clear vision you have defined for the development of your country. We have no doubt that this developmental strategy is beginning to yield positive results in various sectors of the economy.\u201d<\/p>\n

In welcoming all five
\nenvoys to Ghana, President Akufo-Addo wished them a successful tour of duty to Ghana.<\/p>\n

He stressed the preparedness of officials of the Presidency and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Regional Integration to assist them in order to make their tour of duty a successful one. <\/p>\n
