Adjei was suspended by the President due to a procurement scandal that has come to be termed \u201cContracts For Sale.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But speaking on Monday, September 9, 2019, at the Ghana Bar Association Conference, Mr. Akufo-Addo considered procurement works done by his administration so far to be \u201cin sharp contrast to the performance of the PPA in the years before 2017, when approvals were given as a matter of course, and no savings achieved at all.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/gba-8-983x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-245693\"  \/><\/figure>\n<p><strong>BY Melvin Tarlue <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>President Nana Akufo-Addo President Nana Akufo-Addo has observed that his government is committed to protecting the public purse.
