Accra, Aug. 24, GNA – Voting in the National
\nDemocratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary primary election is underway in the La
\nDade Kotopon Constituency of the Greater Accra Region without hitches. <\/span><\/p>\n

The candidates include Madam Rita Dooley
\nSowah, former Municipal Chief Executive of La Dade Kotopon Municipal Assembly
\n(LaDMA); Mr Harold Thompson-Richeys, Mr Jake Kwei Adjei-Kwei and Mr John Fiifi
\nKomey. <\/span><\/p>\n

The delegates would be electing the Party’s
\nParliamentary Candidate to contest the 2020 general election.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr Kofi Frimpong, the Electoral Officer,
\ntold the Ghana News Agency that so far, the delegates had comported themselves
\nand were complying with the directives of officers.<\/span><\/p>\n

“The police are well represented. We
\ndon’t think we will record any misconduct here”, he said <\/span><\/p>\n

Mr Frimpong said a total number of 1,710
\ndelegates in the Constituency were expected to take part in the exercise.<\/span><\/p>\n

“The process was slow initially but the
\nturnout is getting encouraging by the minute”, he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

In an interview with the media, Madam Sowah
\nsaid the process had been exciting so far.<\/span><\/p>\n

She further urged the delegates to continue
\nto remain calm as this was a family affair.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr Adjei-Kwei said, he was happy as to how
\nthe election was going, and that, there had been total cooperation from all.<\/span><\/p>\n
