They then engaged Jordanian based broker JoAustralia Reinsurance Brokers who were tasked with the job of finally making the required payments to secure the final demand guarantees from Al Koot.<\/p>\n<p>But, Al Koot on July 16, 2019, through its Chief Officer General Insurance, Mr Osman Hag Musa, wrote to the Electricity Company of Ghana to alert them about a situation of fraud in which the initial guarantee submitted was allegedly forged by an employee of the company who lacked the authority to issue such a guarantee.<\/p>\n<p>Donewell explained in the statement copied to <strong>Myjoyonline.com<\/strong> that a key component of the agreement was to find an \u2018A\u2019 rated Standard and Poor\u2019s company to reinsure the Guarantee.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Below is the full statement:<\/strong><\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/6567981944315_2986808243466.jpg\" alt=\"Donewell\"\/><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/2217944109864_7088924744839.jpg\" alt=\"Donewell\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Donewell One of the insurance companies at the centre of the botched Power Distribution Services (PDS) concession agreement, has welcomed government\u2019s decision to investigate the deal.
