She said the bank was poised to become<br \/>\nthe number one bank for SMEs and sees itself as the best financial enabler for<br \/>\nthe sector.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs your<br \/>\nfinancial enabler, Barclays wants to be the lead partner for SME growth in<br \/>\nGhana as we become Absa by providing the right financial and operational<br \/>\nsupport. We believe that SMEs of today can easily become the multinationals of<br \/>\ntomorrow,\u201d Mrs Anim-Yeboah told participants at the clinic.<\/p>\n<p>She added that<br \/>\nSMEs form a core part of the bank\u2019s business and these capacity building<br \/>\nengagements are to help SME clients improve their business processes, implement<br \/>\ngood corporate governance structures, improve customer service, instill<br \/>\nexcellent human resource management practices and have better access to credit.\n<\/p>\n<p>The SME clinic<br \/>\nwas attended by over 60 clients who were taken through a series of sessions<br \/>\nincluding credit sanctioning, fraud alerts, forex trading and company succession<br \/>\nplan, among others. <\/p>\n<p>They were also<br \/>\nintroduced to the bank\u2019s various products and services such as Digital Banking,<br \/>\nMobile Money Collection Solution and Barclays Business Club \u2013 all developed for<br \/>\ntheir benefit.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>The Barclays SME<br \/>\nClinic has been designed to help SME clients to benefit from the bank\u2019s<br \/>\ntailor-made capacity building programme aimed at educating and supporting SMEs<br \/>\nin running a sound and sustainable business.
