Some few months ago, the media was in a frenzy with the news that Hollywood actor, Jussie Smollett was attacked in a homophobic and racist attack.<\/p>\n

A few weeks down the line and according to an investigation by the Chicago police and the attack was reported as a fake and staged one despite the \u201cEmpire\u201d actor insisting that it happened. The screen star is alleged to have connived with two Nigerian brothers, Abel and Caleb Osundairo to orchestrate the \u2018attack\u2019.<\/p>\n

In a new report by the celebrity gossip site, TMZ, Smollett\u2019s camp\u00a0is very upset over what they believe are untrue stories about what actually went down in January when Smollett claimed he was the victim of a racist and homophobic attack.<\/p>\n

According to the TMZ report,\u00a0sources directly tied to Smollett say the media has mischaracterized a text he sent to Abel Osundairo four days before the incident, where he said,<\/p>\n

However, it is gathered that those close to Smollett insists the texts had nothing to do with a fake attack. Instead, he says the text was referencing a herbal steroid that reduces belly fat that was illegal in the U.S. According to his camp, Smollett said he wanted Abel to buy the pills when he went to Nigeria. They also insist that shortly after receiving the text, Abel googled \u201cbanned supplements\u201d and \u201csteroids\u201d on his phone.<\/p>\n
