A video game addict has been accused of trying to poison his family\u00a0after they unplugged the Wi-fi to stop him from playing at their home in Sisaket, Thailand.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 29-year-old\u00a0Sak Duanjan <\/strong>reportedly returned home drunk and started playing games at high volume on his smartphone while his parents were trying to sleep last Thursday. <\/p>\n

His stepfather Chakri Khamruang, 52, got out of bed and switched off the wi-fi to prevent further disturbance from Duanjan.<\/p>\n

The pair got involved in a serious argument after the wi-fi was turned off and even went close to throwing blows, but they ended up going to bed thinking all was over.<\/p>\n

According to Mail Online, his mother Suban Duanjan, 51, discovered
\nlethal pesticides left floating on the water inside the family\u2019s well
\nthe next morning.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mrs Duanjan said she discovered the poison when she went to collect water for cooking rice.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201cI saw my son went downstairs and putting something on the jar around 2am. I asked him what he was doing but he didn\u2019t answer and returned to his room. So, I let it go and went back to bed.<\/p>\n

\u201cI still didn\u2019t believe that he could do this. I know that he gets angry very easily. We tried our best to deal with his anger but this time it has become too much,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Duanjan later admitted he had put the poison in the family\u2019s water supply because he was still aggrieved after being prevented from playing his smartphone game.<\/p>\n

According to Mrs Duanjand, the family called the local authorities for help in curbing the son\u2019s violent behaviour.<\/p>\n

The mother added: \u2018We wanted government officers to take him for treatment at the hospital because we don\u2019t want to live in fear wondering when he would attack us again.<\/p>\n

\u2018He plays on his phone so much, I think that\u2019s what makes him
\nstressed. It\u2019s hard to stop him as he\u2019s a grown boy now. So we have
\nasked for help.\u2019<\/p>\n
