{"id":646603,"date":"2019-06-28T12:34:45","date_gmt":"2019-06-28T12:34:45","guid":{"rendered":"<br><div>\n<p class=\"floatLeft\">General News of Friday, 28 June 2019<\/p>\n<p class=\"floatRight\"><strong>Source: <\/strong>classfmonline.com<\/p>\n2019-06-28\n\n<div class=\"article-left\">\n<p class=\"article-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/cdn.ghana-mma.com\/2019\/06\/338349"},"modified":"2019-06-28T12:34:45","modified_gmt":"2019-06-28T12:34:45","slug":"300-ambulances-coming-before-end-of-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2019\/06\/28\/300-ambulances-coming-before-end-of-2019\/","title":{"rendered":"300 ambulances coming before end of 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"floatLeft\">General News of Friday, 28 June 2019<\/p>\n<p class=\"floatRight\"><strong>Source: <\/strong>classfmonline.com<\/p>\n<p>2019-06-28<\/p>\n<div class=\"article-left\">\n<p class=\"article-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.ghanamma.com\/2019\/06\/33834913.295.jpg\" alt=\"Ambulances Kreww\" title=\"Ambulances Kreww\" width=\"295\" height=\"151\" \/><span class=\"image_caption\"><span>Work on manufacturing and assembling of the ambulances is near completion<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"clear:right\"> The government of Ghana is expected to take delivery of 300 ambulances before the end of the year.<\/p>\n<p>A government delegation led by the Minister of Special Development Initiative, Ms Mavis Hawa Koomson, has said that work on manufacturing and assembling of the ambulances is near completion.<\/p>\n<p>The delegation, which was in Turkey to inspect progress of work last week, also comprised a Deputy Health Minister, Mrs Tina Mensah; a deputy Minister of Information, Nana Ama Dokua Asiamah Adjei; and the Chairman of the Health Committee in Parliament, Dr Kwabena Twum Nuamah.<\/p>\n<p>The Minister for Special Development Initiative said the ambulances would boost the operations of the National Ambulance Service and help to improve emergency health care in Ghana.<\/p>\n<p><b>Arrangements<\/b><\/p>\n<p>She said there were arrangements with the manufacturers to also set up a maintenance and spare parts unit in Ghana to deal with mechanical faults when they occur.<\/p>\n<p>President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, during his campaign in the 2016 elections, promised his government would roll out a programme that would assign every constituency $1 million to facilitate the rapid development of constituencies.<\/p>\n<p>In fulfilment of this promise, a programme called Infrastructure for Poverty Eradication Programme (IPEP) aimed at radically improving the state of basic infrastructure at the constituency level was initiated.<\/p>\n<p>The IPEP will serve as the vehicle through which the capital expenditure will be met.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>General News of Friday, 28 June 2019 Source: classfmonline.com 2019-06-28 Work on manufacturing and assembling of the ambulances is near completion The government of Ghana is expected to take delivery of 300 ambulances before the end of the year.
