Afro-soul star, Aituaje Iruobe, popularly known as Waje reportedly wants to quit doing professional music.<\/p>\n

Waje announced this move in a now-viral video, citing the high cost of publicity and low album sales as reasons she was not prepared to invest in her musical career any longer.<\/p>\n

In the viral video, Waje said, \u201cAfter everybody shouted \u2018Waje, your last album was how many years ago, please we need an album\u2019. Where are all the people that were shouting?<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t have the money for publicity and that\u2019s what I am saying. Emerald\u2019s (her daughter) school fees is there.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s like I have ten things laid out for me and every single time, its always been my music, my music that is taking the bulk of my money.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am not willing to put money there anymore,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Nigerians on Twitter have reacted to the video, making \u2018Waje\u2019 the number three trending topic on Twitter, as of the time of filing this report.<\/p>\n

She released a single titled \u2018OH MY\u2019 in November 2018 and later released her Album same 2018, titled \u2018REDVELVET\u2019.<\/p>\n
