\u2018Game of Thrones\u2019 star Kit Harington has reportedly checked into rehab for stress and alcohol following the show\u2019s ending<\/p>\n

The London-born actor was working on \u201cpersonal issues\u201d at a retreat in the U.S. before the HBO series came to end in May after eight seasons.<\/p>\n

Sources report that Harington, who played Jon Snow in the fantasy series, is reported to have checked into the luxury centre weeks before its May 19 finale.<\/p>\n

According to the New York Post, he remains at the luxury health retreat Priv\u00e9-Swiss in Connecticut and checked in almost a month ago.<\/p>\n

Sources told the website that the actor checked into the centre over stress and alcohol use, especially with the show ending which \u201creally hit him hard\u201d.<\/p>\n

A representative for the star said Harington was spending time at the retreat to \u201cwork on some personal issues\u201d.<\/p>\n

The news emerged after a documentary about the show, \u2018The Last Watch\u2019, showed Harington in tears as he learned about his character\u2019s fate.<\/p>\n

Harington told Esquire in April that he broke down after filming Jon\u2019s final scenes.<\/p>\n

He said, \u201cThe final day of shooting, I felt fine\u2026 I felt fine\u2026 I felt fine\u2026 Then I went to do my last shots and started hyperventilating a bit.<\/p>\n

\u201cThen they called, \u2018Wrap!\u2019 And I just broke down. It was this onslaught of relief and grief about not being able to do this again.\u201d<\/p>\n

Newsmen report that Harington is married to his Game Of Thrones co-star Rose Leslie.<\/p>\n
