{"id":610512,"date":"2019-04-26T14:20:53","date_gmt":"2019-04-26T14:20:53","guid":{"rendered":"<br><div>\n<p class=\"floatLeft\">General News of Friday, 26 April 2019<\/p>\n<p class=\"floatRight\"><strong>Source: <\/strong>adomonline.com<\/p>\n2019-04-26\n\n<div class=\"article-left\">\n<p class=\"article-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/cdn.ghana-mma.com\/2019\/04\/72882553"},"modified":"2019-04-26T14:20:53","modified_gmt":"2019-04-26T14:20:53","slug":"how-kidnapped-indian-businessman-was-found","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2019\/04\/26\/how-kidnapped-indian-businessman-was-found\/","title":{"rendered":"How kidnapped Indian businessman was found"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"floatLeft\">General News of Friday, 26 April 2019<\/p>\n<p class=\"floatRight\"><strong>Source: <\/strong>adomonline.com<\/p>\n<p>2019-04-26<\/p>\n<div class=\"article-left\">\n<p class=\"article-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.ghanamma.com\/2019\/04\/72882553.295.jpg\" alt=\"Indian Umpakan Chodr.jpeg\" title=\"Indian Umpakan Chodr.jpeg\" width=\"295\" height=\"412\" \/><span class=\"image_caption\"><span>Umpakan Chodri was trapped, kidnapped and abducted<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"clear:right\">The Indian businessman who was allegedly kidnapped by some gun-wielding assailants has been found and is currently in the custody of the Kumasi Police.<\/p>\n<p>The news of his rescue was broken by Multimedia journalist, Erastus Asare Donkor, who reported that the kidnap victim miraculous fought his captors and run to a nearby house.<\/p>\n<p>An occupant of the house where the victim sought refuge, has confirmed the story as was narrated to her by the victim, Umpakan Chodri.<\/p>\n<p>The occupant said they found Chodri in the neighbourhood, specifically around the premises of Akokoamon primary\/JHS with blood oozing from his nostrils.<\/p>\n<p>According to her, the visibly terrified Chodri asked them to call his brother who came in the company of police officers to rescue him.<\/p>\n<p><b><\/b>THE ABDUCTION<\/p>\n<p>30-year-old Umpakan Chodri was abducted on the late afternoon of Thursday by gunmen at Ahwodwo, a suburb of Kumasi, where he was forcibly pushed into a vehicle taken away.<\/p>\n<p>Witnesses said the kidnappers, numbering about three, tapped on Umpakan\u2019s vehicle to indicate that he had a flat tyre.<\/p>\n<p>When Umpakan got out of his vehicle to check the supposed flat tyre, the kidnappers rushed on him, pulled a gun, slapped his face before pushing him into a waiting vehicle and sped off.<\/p>\n<p>The kidnappers left Umpakan\u2019s vehicle at the scene, taking nothing away.<\/p>\n<p>Umpakan\u2019s brother, Tamil who spoke to Erastus said he suspects the kidnappers mistook his brother for a gold dealer.<\/p>\n<p>The police are yet to make any official statement on Umpakan\u2019s rescue.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a style=\"display:none\" rel=\"follow\" href=\"http:\/\/megatheme.ir\/\" title=\"\u0642\u0627\u0644\u0628 \u0648\u0631\u062f\u067e\u0631\u0633\">\u0642\u0627\u0644\u0628 \u0648\u0631\u062f\u067e\u0631\u0633<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>General News of Friday, 26 April 2019 Source: adomonline.com 2019-04-26 Umpakan Chodri was trapped, kidnapped and abducted The Indian businessman who was allegedly kidnapped by some gun-wielding assailants has been found and is currently in the custody of the Kumasi Police.
