height:90px;\">\n<div class=\"mom-ads-inner\">\n<div class=\"mom-ad\" data-id=\"1236\" style=\"width:728px; height:90px; \">\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"appear\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.ghanamma.com\/2019\/04\/Say-yes-to-ads-Banner-728-X-90.jpg\" alt=\"Right Below Featured Image\" width=\"728\" height=\"90\"\/>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">James Gunu, Volta Regional Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has called on party members in the region not to allow the division of the region to affect the Party\u2019s fortunes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mr Gunu was responding to a petition he received on behalf of the Functional Executive Committee of the Party from some party activists demanding that Mr John Kwadwo Gyapong, the Volta Regional Chairman of the Party be re-assigned to the Oti Region, where he allegedly votes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Regional Scribe said the Party had allowed executives to choose the region to serve and that, the decision of the Chairman to serve in Volta region ought not to divide the Party.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He said the NDC had a lot of activities on its calendar towards capturing power in 2020 and needed unity of purpose ahead of 2020.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mr Gunu assured the petitioners that their grievances would be addressed and appealed to them to re-focus their energies on recapturing power for the Party.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mr Joshua Edem Tetteh, Convener, Concerned Volta NDC Grassroots, said it had become important for the Party\u2019s Regional Chairman, Mr Gyapong to move to the Oti Region since that\u2019s where his branch (Akan Constituency) was.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He said according provisions in the Party\u2019s constitution, Party executives were to have a branch in the region, which he alleged Mr Gyapong currently did not have in the Volta region.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mr Tetteh said Mr Gyapong\u2019s decision to stay in the Volta region as the Chairman, would greatly affect the electoral fortunes of the NDC in the Oti Region.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He noted that Mr Gyapong could make a strong case for the NDC in the Oti Region since he led a very strong campaign in the creation of that region as a \u201cson of the region\u201d and a founding member of the NDC in his constituency in the Oti Region.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mr Tetteh said Mr Gyapong would serve better in the Oti Region because he was resourceful and could drive the reorganisation of the Party, adding that the Volta region had an abundance of competent people who could easily fill the \u201cshoes\u201d of Mr Gyapong.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"ctx-article-root\"\/>  <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a style=\"display:none\" rel=\"follow\" href=\"http:\/\/megatheme.ir\/\" title=\"\u0642\u0627\u0644\u0628 \u0648\u0631\u062f\u067e\u0631\u0633\">\u0642\u0627\u0644\u0628 \u0648\u0631\u062f\u067e\u0631\u0633<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Volta Regional Secretary of the NDC, James Gunu James Gunu, Volta Regional Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has called on party members in the region not to allow the division of the region to affect the Party\u2019s fortunes.
