{"id":608399,"date":"2019-04-18T04:25:55","date_gmt":"2019-04-18T04:25:55","guid":{"rendered":"<br><div>\n<p class=\"floatLeft\">Business News of Thursday, 18 April 2019<\/p>\n<p class=\"floatRight\"><strong>Source: <\/strong>ghananewsagency.org<\/p>\n2019-04-18\n\n<div class=\"article-left\">\n<p class=\"article-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/cdn.ghana-mma.com\/2019\/04\/"},"modified":"2019-04-18T04:25:55","modified_gmt":"2019-04-18T04:25:55","slug":"uenr-co-operative-credit-union-makes-impressive-performance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2019\/04\/18\/uenr-co-operative-credit-union-makes-impressive-performance\/","title":{"rendered":"UENR Co-operative Credit Union makes impressive performance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"floatLeft\">Business News of Thursday, 18 April 2019<\/p>\n<p class=\"floatRight\"><strong>Source: <\/strong>ghananewsagency.org<\/p>\n<p>2019-04-18<\/p>\n<div class=\"article-left\">\n<p class=\"article-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.ghanamma.com\/2019\/04\/38433419.295.jpg\" alt=\"Union Meeting Sun\" title=\"Union Meeting Sun\" width=\"295\" height=\"259\" \/><span class=\"image_caption\"><span>Members and executives of the UENR Credit Union at the 2nd AGM<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"clear:right\">The University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) Co-operative Credit Union has made tremendous improvement in its financial performance, Mr. Alfred Ohenenana Appiah, the Chair of the Management Board has announced.<\/p>\n<p>He was speaking at the Union\u2019s second Annual General Meeting which was on the theme \u201cProviding Affordable Financial Products and Services, a Key to a Happy Family\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Appiah said the Union\u2019s total income as at June 30, 2018 was GhC218,334.04 as against GhC54,314.15 at the same period in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>But he added members\u2019 deposits was GhC786,477.15 whilst it was GhC335,617.00 in 2017, stressing that \u201cthe Union has a solid liquid reserve\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Appiah announced that as part of its corporate social responsibility, the Union contributed to the Brong-Ahafo Chapter building project and to other internal organisations of the University community.<\/p>\n<p>He indicated that the Union, within the period under review had made remarkable progress, citing that the Board had put in place a working strategic plan document which would guide its operations in the years to come.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Appiah added that there had been a great rise in the membership base of the Union which had resulted in an increase of its share capital and savings mobilization.  <\/p>\n<p>Mr. Kwame Asante Paapa, the Union\u2019s Manager earlier in a welcoming address stated the Union started with 30 members but it presently has a membership of 500, comprising senior members, senior staff and junior staff of the University and also some outsiders.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a style=\"display:none\" rel=\"follow\" href=\"http:\/\/megatheme.ir\/\" title=\"\u0642\u0627\u0644\u0628 \u0648\u0631\u062f\u067e\u0631\u0633\">\u0642\u0627\u0644\u0628 \u0648\u0631\u062f\u067e\u0631\u0633<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Business News of Thursday, 18 April 2019 Source: ghananewsagency.org 2019-04-18 Members and executives of the UENR Credit Union at the 2nd AGM The University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) Co-operative Credit Union has made tremendous improvement in its financial performance, Mr. Alfred Ohenenana Appiah, the Chair of the Management Board has announced.
