That is how much they owe us. When you translate this to the number of months, that is 12 months continuously that the consumers have taken water without pay&#8230;If we have all these monies locked up, how do we invest?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Parts of the country have been struggling to get water in the last few weeks.<\/p>\n<p><b>Dumsor to blame for Koforidua Prisons water shortage<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) last week blamed the acute water shortage at the Koforidua Prisons and its environs on the erratic power supply.<\/p>\n<p>The prison, which has over 800 inmates has not had water from the taps for months.<\/p>\n<p>Prison officials say inmates have been left with skin infections as a result of the water shortage.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a style=\"display:none\" rel=\"follow\" href=\"http:\/\/megatheme.ir\/\" title=\"\u0642\u0627\u0644\u0628 \u0648\u0631\u062f\u067e\u0631\u0633\">\u0642\u0627\u0644\u0628 \u0648\u0631\u062f\u067e\u0631\u0633<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Business News of Monday, 8 April 2019 Source: citinewsroom.com 2019-04-08 The company says these financial constraints are largely to blame for the irregular water supply The Northern Regional Office of the Ghana Water Company Limited says a debt of 51 million cedis owed it by customers, particularly state institutions, is seriously affecting its operations.
