Captain Micheal Yaw Foli has said travelling by air is safer than road. <\/p>

A trained commercial pilot, who retired last December, after forty years of a successful career, has assuaged fears in air travel, vouching for its safety ahead of traveling by road. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0According to him, it remains the \u201csafest mood of transportation\u201d with \u201cpercentage of accident very low compared to road accident.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Fear in air transportation has surged, following the last two aviation accidents which claimed all of its passengers onboard.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

A Lion Air Boeing 737 MAX 8 flight went down over the Java Sea\u00a0last October, killing all 189 people on board,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>and on\u00a0Sunday, an Ethiopian Airline plane (F<\/span>light\u00a0ET302) plunged from Nairobi\u2019s skies, killing all\u00a0<\/span>157 passengers and crew. Since then, \u00a0wave of countries have grounded all Boeing 737 MAX 8 jets,\u00a0<\/span>including an order by the Civil Aviation Administration of China on Monday that called for all the jets to ground by 6 PM.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In the melee, several air travelers have called off their trips. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
