When he was drunk, my father even admitted that they had named me like that in order to ruin my life\u00a0like\u00a0I had ruined theirs.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1522970855640-1\" data-google-query-id=\"CJSb-NOLhuACFcQUGwodGvsOvg\">\n<div id=\"google_ads_iframe_\/1002554\/Myjoyonline\/mjo-article-leaderboard_mid_0__container__\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.ghanamma.com\/2019\/01\/Gaylordparents.jpg\" alt=\"Gaylord's parents appeared extremely nervous when confronted outside the courthouse this morning. \" data-pagespeed-url-hash=\"379372969\" onload=\"pagespeed.CriticalImages.checkImageForCriticality(this);\"\/><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><i><b>Photo:\u00a0Gaylord\u2019s parents, Dave and Carol Williams, appeared extremely nervous when confronted by the media outside the Adair County Circuit Court.<\/b><\/i><\/p>\n<p>He claims his parent\u2019s ill-intentioned plan has worked, and that he has to endure constant mockeries and bullying because of his name.<\/p>\n<p>The young man has even been physically assaulted on several occasions and has even been hospitalized twice.<\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1524267639375-0\" data-google-query-id=\"CJmb-NOLhuACFcQUGwodGvsOvg\">\n<p>He says he\u2019s tried to get a name change in the past and asked his parents for their permission on several occasions, but they declined every time.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cMy life is miserable! I can\u2019t wait until I turn 18 and I get the right to change my name without my parents\u2019 consent!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He finally decided to file a lawsuit against his parents in order to obtain\u00a0a financial compensation for the suffering that they deliberately caused him.<\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1524267659923-0\" data-google-query-id=\"CJqb-NOLhuACFcQUGwodGvsOvg\">\n<p>His parents vehemently deny his allegations and claim that they simply named him Gaylord because they liked that name.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Every year,\u00a0 a few dozen young Americans launch civil lawsuits against their biological parents for various reasons.<\/p>\n<p>Many of these cases are cases designed as \u201cwrongful birth lawsuits\u201d and are often instituted by children with predictable birth defects.<\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1524270248971-0\" data-google-query-id=\"CJub-NOLhuACFcQUGwodGvsOvg\">\n<p>According to official records, this is the first time that American parents are being sued because of the name they gave their child.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The actual hearings, in this case, are expected to begin in October.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/1002554\/Adomonline\/ado-article-leaderboard_mid --><\/p><\/div>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a style=\"display:none\" rel=\"follow\" href=\"http:\/\/megatheme.ir\/\" title=\"\u0642\u0627\u0644\u0628 \u0648\u0631\u062f\u067e\u0631\u0633\">\u0642\u0627\u0644\u0628 \u0648\u0631\u062f\u067e\u0631\u0633<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A 17-year old boy from Missouri has launched a civil lawsuit against his parents for naming him Gaylord as a child, a name which allegedly caused him to suffer from a lot of mockeries and even serious bullying.
