President Nana Akufo-Addo
President Akufo-Addo says 58 of the One District One Factory initiative have been completed and are in operation.
According to him, 26 others are at various stages of completion and that many of them would be inaugurated in the first and second quarters of 2020.
He said the list of the completed ones and those yet to be completed would be published so that those doubting the existence of the factories could verify them.
President Akufo-Addo made the remarks at a media encounter at the Jubilee House on Friday, December 13, 2019.
The 1D1F programme is aimed at increasing agricultural productivity and ensures a sustainable supply of food at a cheaper cost while creating jobs for the youth.
The campaign also seeks to create general awareness and encourage workers in both formal and informal sectors and the unemployed to grow grain crops and vegetables in open spaces and backyard gardens in urban areas.
