Black Stars coach James Kwasi Appiah has called for patience from the supporters for new Asante Kotoko coach Maxwell Konadu.

Kwasi Appiah knows Maxwell Konadu so well during their stint together at the Black Stars and has called for patience for the new gaffer.

In an interview with Kumasi based Ligh Fm, he applauded the management of the club for making a good appointment and asked for time for his fellow coach.

“It is a very good appointment from the management of Kotoko. Maxwell is a former player who knows the ins and out of the club and I think with the total support from the fans he will excel in his second coming.”

Kumasi Asante Kotoko on Wednesday unveiled their new coach Maxwell Konadu to the media and supporters of the club at a grand ceremony that was well attended.

The former national team coach replaces Danish International Kjetil Zachariasen who was sacked last month after back to back elimination from two continental competitions.

Maxwell Konadu has put pen to paper on a two year deal renewable for a club he coaches in the past.

The former Wa All Stars trainer was welcomed to the training facility at Adako Jachie near Kumasi by the club’s Executive Chairman Dr. Kwame Kyei.

Konadu has been tasked to win the upcoming 2019/2020 league with a Kotoko a feat he achieved during his first stint with the side and also return the club to the Caf Champions league.
