Arsenal midfielder, Mesut Ozil has shown his appreciation after he discovered that a Ghanaian football club has been named after him.
The name of the club is Abiriw Ozil Football Club and it is located in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
Dr. Erkut Sogut, who happens to be Ozil’s agent was in Ghana at the beginning of December and took the opportunity to visit the club in Abiriw.
He presented the players with some Arsenal jerseys on behalf of the German international.
Whilst in Ghana, he was scouting for the next big talent in the country.
He was also the guest speaker at events held in the University of Ghana, Legon and the Ghana Institute of Journalism.
