GATYFAX Logistics Limited, a Ghanaian indigenous shipping company was adjudged the Overall Logistics and Transport Excellence Awards at the Second Edition of Ghana Logistics and Transport Awards (GLOTA) for the year 2018.
With the attainment of highest score among 13 contestants, the Company also emerged winner of the Best Logistics and Transport Brand of the Year, while its Managing Director, Mr. Francis Terrison received the Best Logistics and Transport Entrepreneur of the Year award.
The awards ceremony was held at Ridge Royal Hotel, Cape Coast, on the theme, “Rewarding contributions of the Logistics and Transport sector for accelerated growth of Ghana’s economy.”
A citation accompanying the trophy presented to Mr. Terrison described him as having demonstrated distinctive leadership qualities and managerial skills in raising the bar of the Company. “Indeed, Organizers of GLOTA have affirmed your recognition as an outstanding entrepreneur within Ghana’s Logistics and Transport sector, upholding values of diligence and dedication to duty”, it further noted. Gatyfax Logistics Limited offers core shipping services in the areas of Air and Sea Freight, Overland Transportation, Customs Clearance, Courier Shipments, Marine Insurance, Warehousing and Distribution as well as Logistics Outsourcing Window.
The Company also diversifies its operations to services in Project Handling, Supply Chain Management, IT Solutions and Real Estate Development.
Other individuals who excelled in various categories of their operations were Mr. MacDonald Vasnani, Founder and Executive Director of Consolidated Shipping Agencies Limited (CONSHIP) as the Best Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Year, Ms. Barbara Brako, Managing Director of Teamwork Freight Services as the Best Logistics and Transport Woman of the Year, Alhaji Abubakari Abdulai Yakubu Baba, Chairman of Haulage Transport Drivers and Training Centre, Ghana Limited as the Best Logistics and Transport Man of the Year, Ms. Russel Dela Ocloo, Senior Reporter of Daily Graphic Newspaper as the Best News Reporter in Logistics and Transport Sector, and Mr. David Arkutu, Founder of Apex Shipping and Commercial Company (ASCO) receiving the Life Time Achievement Excellence Award.
Some institutions were also honoured as winners in various categories of their operations.
They included Teamwork Freight Services as the Best Freight Forwarding Company and winner of the Most Promising Logistics and Transport Company, BAJ Freights Logistics, Best Logistics Management Company and the Best Environmentally Friendly and Safety Company, Jonmoore International, Best Haulage Company (Bulky Goods), S.O Frimpong Services, Best Haulage Company (Oil & Gas), DHL Ghana, Best Courier Services Company, Leasafric Ghana, Best Car Rental Company, National Road Safety Commission, Best Road Safety Regulation and Management Institution, Haulage Transport Drivers and Training Centre, Ghana, Best Customer Service Excellence Awards and Metro TV’s “Eye on Port”, Best Logistics and Transport Serialized Media Broadcast Programme.
