Isaac Adongo, Member of Parliament for Bolga Central
Member of Parliament for Bogatanga Central, Isaac Adongo has said that the 2020 budget does not reflect the true state of nation as the budget was full of falsehoods.
These falsehoods peddled by the Akufo-Addo led government, he says, has vindicated John Mahama as he is now seen a saint.
“John Mahama is doing excellent, He has been made saint by Akufo-Addo and his people.”
The NDC Member of Parliament for Bogatanga Central, Isaac Adongo was speaking on Good Evening Ghana with Paul Adom Otchere on Thursday night.
He also described that 2020 budget as empty.
He said “This budget is empty, this budget is full of lies. This budget does not reflect the speech that was delivered and that the facts as contained in this document shows this government has lost it.”
Ken Ofori-Attah presented the 2020 budget to Parliament on Wednesday 13th November 2020 among other things he said government has spent over GHC 2. 2 billion since the introduction of the policy, saving parents million of cedis they would have spent paying for the fees and other learning materials for their children.
He said the 1.2 million students enrolled in the various second cycle institutions recorded under the programme justify the amount the government has spent on the policy since it began.
“It is gratifying to note that the first cohort of students under the program numbering about 360,000 graduate in 2020,” he said.
