‘Don’t Call Me An Ex Convict, I Spent Less Than 8-Hours In Jail’- Fantana

Singer Fantana has cleared the air regarding her conviction back in the United States of America years before she become a celebrity.

Some media houses diabolically dug into her archives and revealed that the So What crooner was arrested and imprisoned for theft in the US somewhere in 2017.

Speaking to Kwasi Aboagye on Peace FM’s Entertainment Review, Fantana whose real name is Francine Koffi Nyanko revealed that she had a fight with her roommate in school at Florida in America.

She added that her roommate reported her after she threw her (friend’s) bracelet away after they got into a fight.

The name on the prison document showed Francine Nyanko Koffi, and she was referred to as a “West Palm Beach Arrest Inmate.”

Fantana clarified that she was jailed for less than 8 hours and released immediately, which is a stark contrast to what a section of the media reported.

“When someone is convicted they serve a time. I didn’t even step in the courtroom to be convicted. I had a lawyer but I didn’t step in the courtroom because I haven’t been in trouble before. So I was just in there for less than 8 hours and I came out”.
