Quarme Zaggy wins Artiste of the Year

Highlife artiste Quarme Zaggy was adjudged Highlife Artiste of the Year at the maiden edition of Highlife Awards.

The programme was held at the National Theatre on Friday, September 6, 2019.

Receiving the award, he promised to ensure that he works harder to help reserve authentic highlife music in Ghana.

He said it had not been easy charting the path of doing a genre which has been considered the preserve of people who have lost touch with modern trends.

Quarme Zaggy, who had been in the music industry over a decade has a song like ‘Burning Desire,’ ‘Matide’, ‘Bohye’, ‘Highlife’, ‘Just the Two of Us’, among others.
