Member of Parliament for Adansi Fomena, Andrews Amoako Asiamah has said that the recent mine pit collapse at Akrokerri Bronikrom in the Ashanti region should be blamed on the “stubborn” attitude of the victims.
The mining pit caved in early Thursday while some
miners were underground.
Police have, however, dispelled rumours there were
many trapped under the rubble.
The body of a 35-year-old man, which was retrieved from the pit, has been sent to the hospital for autopsy.
