The Senate will in no time confirm Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad as the substantive Chief Justice of Nigeria.
This was included in the Order Paper of the day and according to reports, Tanko was expected to be screened and confirmed during plenary as it should be but lawmakers unanimously agreed to go into a closed-door session.
President Muhammadu Buhari requested of the senate to confirm Tanko, as Chief Justice of Nigeria after the National Judicial Council (NJC) had recommended Justice Tanko the substantive Chief Justice of Nigeria.
