Ed Sheeran Expresses Wish To Taste Nigerian Jollof Rice

The Nigerian Jollof rice has its reputation preceding so much so that it is no longer just a Nigerian delight but a delicacy that even international superstars have a craving for.

Multi-talented British singer-songwriter, Ed Sheeran, has joined a growing list of international superstars who have expressed a wish to either taste the Nigerian Jollof or have sampled it already.

The Grammy award-winning entertainer recently made known his plan to visit Nigeria. The “Shape of You” crooner admitted to the Sun that he has to get back to Africa after the final show of his World Divide tour in Ipswich on 26 August.

He said:

“I’ve got to get back to Africa. After the tour I want to go and chill out there. I was in Ghana a few years back and I loved it. Now I need to go to Nigeria. I heard the jollof rice is really good there.”

In times past, stars like the boxing champion, Anthony Joshua, CNN’s Richard Quest, reality TV star Blac Chyna, footballer Rio Ferdinard, Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg have all had nothing but praises for the Nigerian Jollof rice.

It would be recalled that the “I Don’t Care” crooner recently confirmed his marriage to his childhood friend, Cherry Seaborn.

Ed Sheeran who has been actively releasing new projects recently overtook “Hello” hitmaker Adele, on The Rich List. In an edition of the Sunday Times Rich List, the 28-year-old Sheeran’s net-worth is placed at N74.9 billion (£160 million). This is an N37.4 billion £80 million) increase from last year. Adele who formerly held the top position placed second at a net-worth of N70.2 billion (£150 million) and retains her title of the wealthiest female recording artist.
