Citi FM’s Literacy Challenge team visits Kay Billie Klaer International School

Citi FM’s literary competition, The Literacy Challenge has entered day two of its engagements with students of some selected Junior High Schools in the country.

The Literacy Challenge team on Thursday paid a visit to the Kay Billie Klaer International School located in East Legon in Accra to interact with students.

Some of the students who spoke to Citi News said they will partake in the competition and were hopeful of taking hold of the ultimate prize of GHc10,000.

One of them said:

“This year’s topic is a bit difficult than last year’s. Last year’s topic was a bit flexible, but I am motivated to participate. I tried the first time it didn’t work, it didn’t work the second time but that doesn’t mean I should give up. I will keep trying till I get it.”

Another student said: “I want to participate in this year’s competition because I want to expose myself to questions and the whole challenge.”

The Topic for this year’s challenge is: “In recent Years, indiscipline on our roads has led to the loss of many lives. In light of this write an essay, suggesting ways to solve this problem, in order to help Ghana’s economy to grow and develop.”

The deadline for submission of entries is July 31, 2019.
