Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy to Reappear In Court On July 16

The Adjabeng District Court, presided over by His Worship, Isaac Addo, has adjourned the case involving the two dancehall artistes Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale to July 16, 2019.

The pair were arrested following the role they both played during their infamous brawl which took place at the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Awards amidst brandishing of gun and fisticuffs from both camps, all of which happened on live TV, causing patrons to flee for their lives from the auditorium.

The adjournment follows a plea made by the state Prosecutor Superintendent Emelia Asante to enable her to call her final witness to testify in court. According to her, she has four witnesses to testify in court and has since been able to call only three witnesses leaving the remaining one.

The court has, therefore, directed that the final witness should be called before July 15 to allow a continuation of the case. Shatta Wale is facing a charge of offensive conduct conducive to breach of peace while Stonebwoy has been charged with offensive conduct conducive to breach of peace and display of a firearm in public without permission.
