Ghanaian forward Samuel Tetteh has extended his loan deal with Austrian club LASK Linz.
The former West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) star stays at Waldstadion for one more year after an agreement between LASK Linz and his former employers, Red Bull Salzburg.
Tetteh was expected to return to Red Bull after spending the 2018/2019 season on loan at LASK Linz.
However, a statement posted on the club’s Twitter account on Sunday read: “TETTEH STAYS PUT – We’re glad to announce that Samuel Tetteh has extended his contract at the club for an extra year.”
Earlier, the 22-year-old striker tweeted: “One more year #LaskLinz”.
Tetteh, who could not make Ghana’s final squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, scored seven times for LASK Linz in the Austrian Football Bundesliga.
His impressive display compelled management of the club to request for an extension of the player’s loan spell.
