Ghanaian striker, Richmond Antwi, has become the hottest player in the Sudanese league as some Sudan giant clubs are showing keen interest to sign him on.

The 18-year-old confirmed to Graphic Sports Online via telephone that two local giants, Al Hilal Omdurman and Al Merreikh have asked for his signature following his exploits in the Sudanese league.

Antwi who plays for Al Khartoum has scored 18 goals in 15 games making him one of the most prolific attackers in the Sudanese league.

Confirming this to Graphic Sports Online from his base in Sudan, the striker said he has been contacted by the two giants who are very keen to include him in their set up.

“Yes, Al Hilal Omdurman and Al Merreikh are interested in me, they want me to sign for them, I feel very privileged because they are the two most successful clubs in the country,” he noted.

However, Antwi said he could not guarantee joining the clubs who had begun pursuing him, because his current club are also keen on keeping him, and are ready to renegotiate his contract to offer him an improved terms to ensure he stayed.

“My club want me to stay, so they have requested for me to submit my demands for a new contract to be signed. They said they would meet my needs so that I stay with them”, Antwi stated.

The former Tema Youth player said he would not get complacent about his performance but would work hard to realise his ambition of emerging the top scorer of the season.

“I want to score between 25-30 goals this season, so that I will be crowned the top scorer of the league,” he noted.

Antwi added that his aim was to catch the attention of the national team handlers and was steadfastly working hard and biding his time to be recognised for a place in any of the national teams.
