Abeiku Santana reveals he’ll quit media soon

Renowned broadcaster Gilbert Aggrey, popularly known as Abeiku Santana, has announced that he will be quitting media very soon.

According to him, he wants to concentrate on tourism, which he says is his way of life now.

Santana made this known on Saturday when he was being honoured for his outstanding contribution to the Ghanaian media.

He was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award and Media Personality Award at the Pan-African Republic Honorary Awards at a ceremony which took place at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).

Receiving the award, Santana congratulated the organisers, but said, “…I am sorry to announce that very soon I will be saying bye bye to the media because I have found a new love which is tourism which is my way of life. Thank so much Pan-African Republic Honorary Awards for appreciating me.

Abeiku Santana is one of Ghana’s award-winning radio personalities.

He has had over two decades of work experience in the Ghanaian media space and is recognised as one of Ghana’s celebrated radio icons.

He currently works at Okay FM, a subsidiary of the Despite Group of Companies.

Abeiku Santana has been impressive in the tourism industry with his Kaya Tour Company. In 2017, he was listed in top 100 tourism personalities in West Africa by Balafon Awards West Africa Committee of Experts.
