NADMO issues alert at Kumasi Airport

The National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) has issued an alert at the Kumasi Airport following concerns unscrupulous activities of some residents around the Airport enclave are affecting safe flights operations.

According to the head of the Regional Airports Directorate, Kwadwo Abrefa Sarkodie, “our attention has been drawn by the pilots who fly in and out of Kumasi to the burning of tyres on the airport land by unscrupulous individuals”.

The Regional Emergency Response Team of NADMO therefore in a notice is calling for the support of the general public before any calamity befalls the country.

“The Emergency Response Team wishes to bring to the notice of the Media to urgently help to create public awareness on the danger pose”, Ashanti Regional NADMO Director, Mr. Kwabena Nsenkyere appealed in a release signed.

The director therefore warned the general public to desist from this unscrupulous activities to enhance flying and landing of flights safely as the place still remains security zone.

“Human induced activities create serious hazard requiring urgent attention”, Mr. Kwabena Nsenkyere pointed out warning residents of Aboabo, Asokore Mampong, Asawase and it environs to desist from their unscrupulous practices.
