The Ministry of Youth and Sports (MOYS) has sent a goodwill message to Kumasi Asante Kotoko ahead of their CAF Confederations Cup game against Cameroonian side Coton Sport.

Asante Kotoko holds a 3-2 advantage heading into Sunday’s (January 20) game at the Baba Yara Stadium, and a win will see them progress to the group stage.

As Ghana’s sole representatives in the 2018/2019 CAF Confederations, MOYS is urging the team to remain focused and avoid complacency in order to make the nation proud.

The Honourable Minister for Youth and Sports, on behalf of Government and people of Ghana wishes KUMASI ASANTE KOTOKO the very best of luck as they host Coton Sports from Cameroon in the second leg encounter of the CAF Confederation Cup final play-off qualifier at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday 20th January 2019.

As Ghana’s sole representative in this year’s competition, Asante Kotoko carries the aspirations and hopes of the nation. This should spur the team on to victory, make progress and do our country proud in the competition.

We urge the team to remain focused and avoid complacency. We shall be at the Baba Yara Stadium in our numbers to support the Porcupine Warriors to victory.
