Fulham’s approach for Attamah Larweh rejected by Basaksehir

#Donkomi: Fulham’s approach for Attamah Larweh rejected by Basaksehir

Fulham have seen an offer for Istanbul Basaksehir defender Joseph Attamah Larweh turned down by the Turkish league leaders, according to reports.

Premier League strugglers Fulham have made defensive reinforcements one of their top priorities this month as they look to shore up their rearguard.

Fulham have the worst defensive record in the league, having conceded 49 goals in 22 games and currently lie second from bottom of the table, five points adrift of safety.

Attamah Larweh has emerged on Fulham’s radar after impressing at Istanbul Basaksehir, helping them to the top of the Turkish Super Lig.

The 24-year-old’s versatility in that he can play in central defence, right-back or holding midfield makes him an attractive proposition to Fulham as they look to strengthen throughout their squad in this month’s transfer window.

However, Istanbul Basaksehir have rebuffed the interest from Fulham and claim he is not for sale as they look to keep hold of their squad in a bid to win the league this season.

Ghana international Attamah Larweh has made 45 appearances for Istanbul Basaksehir since joining in 2016 and he still has 18 months to run on his current deal.
