According to the Police Public Relations Officer for Central Region, upon reaching Ankaful junction the robbers started firing at the Police and the Police returned fire in the process.

The suspected robbers vehicle however drove into a ditch and one of the robbers who was wielding a rifle managed to escape in the process.

“Upon inspection of the BMW saloon car Police found 7 live goats and 5 dead goats,” DSP Irene Oppong added.
