Nam1 AlhajiNana Appiah Mensah was accused of absconding due to the issues facing his gold dealership firm

Public Relations Officer of gold dealership firm, Menzgold has confirmed its Chief Executive Officer, Nana Appiah Mensah popularly known as NAM 1 is not in Ghana.

Nii Armah Amarteyfio revealed that his boss left the country in September due to security reasons but did not abscond as it is being alleged.

A leading member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) government and cousin to President Nana Akufo-Addo, Gabby Otchere Darko indicated the businessman has absconded.

He described the business as a ponzi scheme, a word many have refrained from using, and charged government to ensure Nana Appiah Mensah faces justice.

Reacting to the issue on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Wednesday, Nii Armah Amarteyfio said his boss used approved routes to travel out of Ghana.

“NAM 1 is not dead; he is very much alive. He left Ghana in September,” he stated.

The Menzgold PRO assured of prompt payment of monies owed customers when modalities being put in place by management is completed.

Nii Armah Amarteyfio appealed for calm as they work around the clock to resolve all issues with Securities and Exchanges Commission (SEC) and the Bank of Ghana (BoG).
