\u201cInsha Allah, we shall be successful\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe pray that Allah will continue to give us peace and stability for the country to move forward,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<p>Vice President Bawumia gave the assurance when he joined thousands of Muslims at a thanksgiving service at the Abossey Okai Central Mosque in Accra, on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The thanksgiving service formed part of activities marking Ghana\u2019s 61st independence anniversary celebration.<\/p>\n<p>The Vice President was accompanied by the Chief Imam, Sheikh Nuhu Sharubutu, the Minister of Inner City and Zongo Development, Alhaji Boniface Saddique and other government officials.<\/p>\n<p>Vice President Bawumia said: \u201cOn behalf of the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, we thank Allah for bringing us so far.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn March 6, 2018, it would be 61 years since Ghana gained independence, and we have to thank Allah for bringing us so far.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf Ghana were to be a human being, we would be on pension by now, but we\u2019re a country, and so for the country to move forward, we need peace and stability, and this is what we\u2019re thanking God for,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<p>He said President Nana Akufo-Addo, who is touring some Western countries, including the United States of America and Germany, had been informed about the recent spate of armed robberies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m in constant contact with him regarding the recent spate of armed robberies, which is of concern to everybody and the President is also concerned\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>He said government had taken measures to curb the menace and asked for the co-operation of everybody to clamp down on the phenomenon.<\/p>\n<p>Other activities marking the independence celebrations include;
