I must admit everything was very fast.<\/p>\n<p>I was told I will get the passport in three weeks only to keep checking and be told it is not ready,\u201d one applicant told Joy News\u2019 Matilda Wemegah.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, his numerous trips to the Passport Office in Accra since January 26 have yielded no result because he is yet to get his passport.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe chit given me indicated that I was to receive my passport earlier than that\u2026they claim they are out of booklet to print on\u2026I checked the status of it and nothing has judged.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was supposed to use the passport in January but because of the delay, I have to reschedule my trip,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, workers at the Passport office who look on helplessly at the situation blame it on an electrical fault which has been persistent for more than two weeks.<\/p>\n<p>One of them who spoke to Joy News on condition of anonymity said they are facing electrical problems.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen we went to work, we were told by the IT guys the minor fault, which we experience once in a while in the year, will be fixed in no time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut this time around it is affecting us more than the previous times we have experienced it.
