Dr. Nkrumah left the show for not having received their meager salaries for well over one and half years.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to Bola Ray on Starr Chat on Starr FM Wednesday, Maame Dokono said with the poor quality of actors and actresses it didn\u2019t come to her as a surprise when the Cantaata show was taking off air.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEverything about Cantaata was bad, did you like it? no, no, no\u2026I didn\u2019t like it. There were few episodes that were good, the rest were\u2026 The story lines were bad, the actors in there were not actors, Nana just picked people from anywhere to act.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Obra (show) that you see most of us are educated, except Auntie Esi, and the old actors we picked from Brigade Concert Party, even she was trained in the Brigade Concert Party, Kwame Nkrumah\u2019s time.
